Terms and conditions

Last updated: 2026-08-08

These terms govern the use of the Cloudshops platform, operated by WEBSHOT, Nederland, KvK 51317915. By creating an account you accept the terms below.

The service

Cloudshops is a software-as-a-service platform that lets you build and run an online store. We provide the infrastructure, the software and the integrations described on the marketing site.

We are not a party to the contracts between you and your customers. You remain the merchant, responsible for the goods you sell, their compliance and your relationship with buyers.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must have the legal capacity to enter into contracts and use the platform for professional purposes, not as a consumer.

Pricing and payment

Subscriptions are billed monthly, in advance. Prices shown on the pricing page exclude VAT unless stated otherwise.

We take no commission on your sales. Payment processors (Stripe, Netopia and others) apply their own fees, in a direct relationship with you.

We may change prices with 30 days notice. If you disagree, you can cancel before the change takes effect.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from the admin panel. The service stays active until the end of the paid period. No penalties, no minimum term.

After cancellation we keep your data for 30 days so you can export it in full. We then delete it permanently.

Your data

Your products, orders and customers belong to you. You can export everything as standard CSV, at any time, without asking us.

We do not sell your store data and we do not use it for our own marketing.

Acceptable use

You may not use the platform to sell illegal goods or services, to infringe intellectual property, for fraud, or to distribute malware.

We may suspend a store that breaks these rules. We tell you why and keep your export access open.

Availability and liability

We make reasonable efforts to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Planned maintenance is announced in advance.

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months. We are not liable for lost profit or indirect losses, to the extent permitted by law.

Changes

We may update these terms. Substantial changes are announced 30 days in advance by email. Continued use after they take effect means acceptance.

Governing law

This agreement is governed by the law of the Netherlands, where the operator is established. The choice of law does not depend on which domain you arrived through.

This choice does not deprive you of the mandatory protections of the law of the country where you are habitually resident (Art. 6, Rome I Regulation).

Disputes go to the competent courts at our registered seat, without prejudice to mandatory rules on jurisdiction.
