Cloudshops is not trying to be a platform for everyone. It is built for merchants in Romania and the Netherlands, with their rules inside the product rather than bolted on as apps.
Almost every ecommerce platform is built for one large market and adapted to the rest afterwards. That works until the first thing that does not translate: an invoicing obligation, cash on delivery, a parcel locker round the corner. Then comes an app, maintained by someone else, which breaks exactly when the rules change.
We went the other way. Two markets, done completely: e-invoicing and cash on delivery in Romania, iDEAL and bol.com in the Netherlands. Not because the rest of the world does not matter, but because “works everywhere” means, in practice, “works fully nowhere”.
You can see it in what we do not build: no app store, no theme editor, no selling in five currencies. Good things, done well by others. We do something else.
Every shop has its own database, physically separate from the rest. That is not an access setting — it is a boundary a programming mistake cannot cross. And exporting is a button, not a support request.
A flat monthly plan, no percentage of your sales. A platform that takes commission earns from your growth even when it contributes nothing to it.
The integration pages state plainly what has been tested with a real account and what has not. Awkward when selling, correct afterwards.
One channel, read by people. We answer during working hours, usually the same day.
The demo shops are real, with a panel and products. No account needed.
